Events and Network Management Associate

Global Counsel is seeking an events and network management associate to join our Delivery team. The successful candidate will work across GC’s in-person and digital events, network management and marketing campaigns. This is a role well suited to an individual looking to develop their own events experience, elevate GC’s existing events calendar and enhance their network management and CRM analytical skills.
Role and responsibilities
Work with the wider Delivery team on event design, programming and execution for GC and client events. Events include webinars, in-office roundtables, private dinners, conferences and networking events.
Work with a broad range of GC practices across sectors and markets to support them with identifying and tracking engagement with relevant stakeholders for GC campaigns, events, and other BD purposes.
Using and serving as gatekeeper of the CRM, regularly evaluate the extent to which GC’s network engages with our marketing content and how we use these insights to inform our marketing and content distribution strategies.
Drafting marketing materials such as event invitations, social media copy, event webpages, speaker invitations.
The ideal candidate
Has an interest in politics, policy and regulation and what this means for GC’s corporate and investor clients. We want someone who wants to learn about the global political and policy environment, and how we use marketing strategies to demonstrate GC’s value and insights.
Is adaptable and able to work in teams across the business. We are looking for someone who will work effectively not just within the marketing team, but across the organisation, including with our international offices.
Has proven project management skills. Someone who can handle concurrent tasks effectively and lead independent projects.
Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Someone who is willing to learn new tools, suggest new processes, and take the lead on internal projects.
Is creative and entrepreneurial - is always looking to improve and elevate GC and client events.
Skills and profile
Demonstrated experience working in events and network management within the professional services sector, a trade association, political party, think-tank or similar.
Familiarity with CRMs and project management tools.
A motivated self-starter who can balance multiple deadlines at once.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication.
A strong commitment to professional development and an entrepreneurial approach to making the role their own.
