Analyst Programme, Brussels
Please submit application by 9am on 24 November 2025.
Global Counsel is recruiting three analysts to join our Brussels offices starting in February 2026, for twelve months.
The roles are a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on experience in public policy and to learn about the world of strategic advisory. The successful candidates will have a strong interest in politics, policymaking and how it intersects with businesses’ commercial strategies.
During your first month, you will complete comprehensive training to understand our business, our clients and how we work. You will then undertake three placements of around four months each across our teams, depending on client needs, business priorities and your personal interests. GC’s sector and global teams advise investors and corporate clients across sectors including tech, health, financial services, energy and trade.
Requirements
- We seek curious, analytical individuals interested in politics and policy who love to write and work well in teams. Typically, individuals will have a cumulative 1 – 2 years of experience through internships, traineeships or other work experience.
- A deep interest in politics, policy and regulation and their interaction with the commercial sector is essential.
- Demonstrable organisational, research and analytical skills.
- Experience in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- The GC team speaks more than 25 languages across our six offices. We highly value strong foreign language skills, but excellent English (native or near native fluency) is essential.
- We encourage candidates from all degree subjects to apply.
- This role is based in GC’s Brussels office. You will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week for the first rotation and then 3-4 days per week for the subsequent 8 months.
What’s in it for you?
- In-house hands-on training and development in a fast-growing strategic consultancy, with a chance to enter GC as an Associate upon Programme completion (depending on personal performance and business needs).
- Direct involvement in producing and preparing client work and practical experience working with clients. GC’s clients include the world’s largest banks, tech platforms, pharmaceutical and energy multinationals.
- You will be involved in client delivery, business development, and internal projects, learning from the senior team who have worked at the highest levels of government, politics and regulators.
- Participation in comprehensive internal training programme to develop your writing, public speaking, critical thinking and personal brand as well as your expertise in policy areas that are impacting our global client base.
- A competitive salary with 25 days’ holiday allowance, plus bank holidays. A full package of benefits including pension, health & dental insurance, as well as company social activities.
