Analyst Programme 2023
Please submit your application by 09:00 GMT / 10:00 CET 28 March 2023.
Global Counsel is recruiting six graduate analysts to join our UK and Brussels offices starting in September 2023, for twelve months. The roles are a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on experience in public policy and to learn about the world of strategic advisory. The successful candidates will have a strong interest in politics, policymaking and business.
During your first month, you will complete comprehensive training to understand our business, our clients and how we work. You will then undertake three placements of c. 4 months across our teams, depending on client needs, business priorities and your personal interests. GC’s sector and global teams advise investors and corporations on health, climate and sustainability, energy, trade, technology, media and telecoms (TMT), financial services and geopolitics.
As an analyst, you will be based in London or Brussels, depending on your permanent right to work in these geographies. GC will accept applications to the Analyst Programme in London for graduating students who will be working on post-study work (PSW) visas. However, we will only accept applicants on PSW visas if they have permanent work rights in one or more of: the United States, European Union, Singapore, Qatar and/or the UK.
Requirements
- We seek curious, analytical individuals interested in politics and policy who love to write and work well in teams. Typically, a minimum 2:1 in a university degree is preferred.
- We encourage candidates from all degree subjects to apply. We are particularly keen for our analysts to bring new data visualisation and editorial skills. So, we would encourage applications from recent graduates with experience or studies covering journalism or data science.
- A deep interest in politics, policy and regulation and their interaction with the commercial sector is essential.
- Demonstrable organisational, research and analytical skills.
- Experience in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- The GC team speaks more than 25 languages across our five offices. We highly value strong foreign language skills, but excellent English (native or near native fluency) is essential.
- The permanent right to work in one or more of GC’s offices (London, Brussels, Washington DC, Doha, Singapore). Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas for this programme.
What’s in it for you?
- In-house hands-on training and development in a fast-growing strategic consultancy, with a chance to enter GC as an Associate upon Programme completion (depending on business needs).
- The opportunity to be involved in business development as well as internal projects.
- Direct involvement in producing and preparing client work and practical experience working with clients.
- A competitive salary with 25 days’ holiday allowance, plus bank holidays and discretionary winter holiday office closures.
- A full package of benefits including pension, health & dental insurance, as well as company social activities.
